Andrea Bressanelli
Since taking the first bite of a fiery Ethiopian doro wot and staining my favourite sweatshirt with streaks of lusciously red oil in London, I’ve been on a quest to find exciting food, understand its origins and the culture behind it.
After studying Nordic literatures in Italy and Sweden and working in marketing, I chose to dive straight into food, graduating from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy, with a Master’s in World Food Cultures and Mobility.
I’ve been a board member for Slow Food Stockholm, helping organise Terra Madre Nordics in 2022 and I’ve worked on gastronomic tourism and communication projects in collaboration with Slow Food Taitung and 津和堂 (Co-Create Planning and Design Consultancy) in Taiwan, as well as Falstaff for the launch of the magazine’s Italian version.
A big fan of artichokes - but really anything smoked, bitter or spicy - I’m passionate about the cultural side of food and I have extensive experience in food research, writing and editing.
